Museums at Night: Masking Identity
Bristol Museum, 16.05.2018
alldaybreakfast were commissioned to create an activity during the Museum at Night:Trying it on. Based on notions of identity, class and gender drawn from Grayson Perry’s exhibition: The Vanity of Small Differences, we used dada methods of random image and word play to encourage the participants to make a playful and sometimes surprising exploration of identity through making masks.
Museums at Night is the UK-wide festival of ‘lates’ in museums and galleries. It invites all UK museums, galleries and heritage sites to throw open their doors after hours to showcase their treasures in unexpected ways.
