Sarah Wölker, Memento Mori
Time is fluxional, flexible, expandable, solvent. Slack and movement are timeless matters. Attention! If you don’t go forwards, you go backwards. How does time resist impositions of uniformity and coherence? Memento Mori is an interactive Sound/Video- installation placing the audience in a soundscape manipulated by their movements in the room. The movement of the living clock will gyrate with momentum, from time to time a moment to experience silence. Sarah Wölker will record and play layers of units and evidence of time calculations. Live recordings, remixes and replays of uniform convergence and dissonant diffusions, an electro- acoustic soundscape.
Sarah Wölker is a German artist based in Berlin. Her sound and moving image work have been exhibited in Germany, Austria and Poland.
